Ranch Kids Program will run on two consecutive Thursdays. Each day will begin at 1:00 PM and end at 4:30 PM. Participants will be kept in groups of 8-10 kids with 2 instructors. (Each group will have the same kids and instructors each day, and the kids from the other groups will not have any interaction.) As always, we will be meeting or exceeding all of the state and county health guidelines for day camps. This program is for kids ages 7-13.
RANCH KIDS PROGRAM PARENTS AND CAMPERS
Authorized parent/guardian must accompany their camper through the mandatory sign-in process, which includes a temperature check and health screening. Any participant with a temperature exceeding 100.4°F degrees will not be allowed to attend Rawhide that day.
The authorized parent/guardian must wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth. For the safety of participants, a government-issued photo ID is required at check-out.
Only participants and staff will be permitted past the check-in/check-out stations for the health and safety of all as we honor state guidelines.
Participants will be preassigned to groups by age.
Plan for the Week
Due to being a ranch with several animal activities and aligning with COVID-19 guidelines, here is some essential information for having a fun and safe time at Rawhide:
- Arrive in long pants that cover the ankle.
- Wear closed toed shoes (boots or tennis shoes - no slip-on canvas shoes, no sandals).
- Shirts need a sleeve (short or long - no tank tops please)
- It is recommended participants wear a face covering when within 6 feet of another individual. Best practice is to daily have a clean cloth covering.
- Apply sunscreen every day prior to arrival.
- Come with a full water bottle labeled with the participant’s name on it.
- Bring snacks, not requiring refrigeration, in a labeled bag.
- An ASTM/SEI approved equestrian helmet (not expired). We will provide a helmet if needed.
- A small personal hand sanitizer is recommended.
- Please no cell phones. This is an opportunity to unplug and enjoy!

RAWHIDE HEALTH AND SAFETY
Our top priority is the health and safety of our participants, their families, our staff, and the community. We are working diligently to ensure all recommended safety measures are met.
While the COVID-19 virus is challenging us to make camp look different this year, you will find the same high-quality program experience you have come to expect from Rawhide Ranch.
Safety Measures:
Our Ranch Kids Program operations will meet the required standards set forth by local and national experts to ensure a safe experience, including:
- Participants must bring their own snacks for the day in a labeled bag, no food will be served or sold.
- Participants should also bring water in a refillable water bottle.
- Parents should apply sunscreen before your child arrives at camp in the morning, as staff will no longer be able to apply sunscreen to campers upon request.
- Daily health screening and temperature checks are mandatory for all participants and staff before check-in. Any participant with a temperature exceeding 100.4°F will not be allowed to attend Rawhide that day.
- Ranch Kid groups will have the same assigned staff all week.
- Frequent hand-washing and enhanced sanitation practices.
- Staff will sanitize supplies and equipment throughout the day.
- Rawhide activities will follow social distancing guidelines.
