Rawhide Ranch is a page out of the Old West where "roughing it" is
part of the fun. For all to enjoy the experience, we ask that the following
items be left behind:
Radios, CD
players, Boom Boxes, etc.
TVs, Video
games, GameBoys, etc.
Cell phones,
pagers
(Campers are not allowed to have cell phones with them at camp.
While you are with your campers or there are any campers on the
Ranch you will not be able to carry, use, or have your cell phone
so please do not plan to use it for an alarm clock. We can store
your phone for you in a safe location.)
Pocket knives,
sling-shots, etc.
Rawhide Ranch is
not responsible for lost or damaged personal items. Leave those "favorite" or
expensive items at home.

Here's What to Mail Your Camper
Send
Self-Addressed Stamped Envelopes so your camper
can easily write home during "coffee breaks" or before bed
time. Include envelopes to other family
members as well. Add stationery
and the return address above so others can write back to Rawhide.
Experts' Hints: "I drop some mail a day or two before arrival so my kids
gets mail the very first day!"

Ranch stationery to send with your camper with return address
for families/friends!
Campers
love getting letters and cards from home. We ask that you do
not send packages containing candy or food to/with your
camper. There is no food storage area available and we no longer
allow food to be stored or eaten in the cabins. (The ants might
love the midnight snacks available in a camper's bags but the
other bunkmates are not too happy to have the extra guests in
the cabin. ) Instead, consider sending a small gift or additional
"pony bucks" instead - Coffee breaks are a big event
in the camper's day and they love choosing something cold from
one of the snack areas.
Experts' Hints:"There's
no refrigerators in the bunk houses so I don't send things that
might melt"
Send clean
clothes for extended stay campers to mail their soiled things
home in the same box the fresh things come in. Include return
shipping label and postage in box. Approx. $10~$12/load
Experts' Hints: "We use the camp laundry service instead of packing weeks
of clothes"
