What do campers do there?
If "having the time of their lives" is not a good enough answer, check A Typical Day at the Ranch for more detailed information!

How many campers attend?
It depends on the season and the type of program. The Traditional Program for school group and youth groups have a maximum of 100 people, including chaperones. The Teepee Village program has a maximum of 48 people. For the week-long sessions (Winter Camp/Summer Camp) the number of campers will range from 65 for the winter session up to approx. 130 for the summer sessions.

Is there medical help at the ranch?
During the week-long camp programs basic nursing is available for scrapes and bruises at the ranch. Emergency medical help is less than ten miles away at Fallbrook Hospital

Are there any laundry facilities?
No. However, laundry services will pick up and deliver clothes each week of the Summer for approx. $15 - $20. Campers on extended stays should pack accordingly.

Do I need to bring extra money?
All meals and activities are included. For the week-long sessions we recommend some spending money though (maybe $25-$40/week) for snacks, candy, juice/sodas, sno-cones and souvenirs. Cash is converted to Pony Bucks during check-in with camper's name on each dollar (SEE ALSO WHAT TO BRING). For the shorter group/school programs during the school year, campers generally bring $10-$20.

Can I choose my bunkmates? (Summer/Winter Week-long Sessions Only)
Bunkmate requests can get extremely complicated. Therefore we ask that bunkmate requests be coordinated between the campers/families that will be bunking together. Each camper may request up to 2 bunkmates and bunkmates should request each other. Keep in mind when requesting a bunkmate that our cabin assignments are by age group (usually less than 1 year age difference). Note: We are not able to accept requests for specific cabins or areas.

What is the typical ratio of Girls to Boys for the Week-long Camp sessions?

^ TOP

For our youngest week-long campers (7-8 year olds) the ratio is 6 campers per counselor; for the older campers the ratio is 8 campers per counselor.
